It was the summer of 2014...

As I entered  peri menopause, my body started changing in ways I couldn't understand. Gut issues took over—I was bloated after every meal, swinging between constipation and normalcy. Fatigue became constant, and my moods were all over the place. Even though I had always been skinny, I started gaining weight, and no doctor seemed to have an answer. My symptoms were dismissed, and it finally hit me: no one knows my body better than I do.

So, I listened to my body. I relied on my science background, researched deeply, and started making small, intentional changes to my diet. In just a few months, my energy returned, my gut health improved, and my body finally started working with me, not against me.

 

Although this was years ago, the frustration still feels fresh—the helplessness, the confusion. But I also remember the moment I took control and decided to nourish myself holistically—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

 

Today, I’m healthier than ever, and I trust my body because I nourish it in a way that supports its needs. That trust has transformed everything.

My approach isn’t about counting calories or spending hours in the kitchen. I believe in real, simple solutions that fit into your life. And I love food—so yes, you’ll enjoy delicious meals and even desserts on this journey!

A major focus of my program is on the gut microbiome. By nourishing your microbiome with the right foods, improving sleep quality, and aligning with your body’s natural circadian rhythm, you can boost metabolism, reduce inflammation, and sustain lasting weight loss.

 

I also focus on the brain’s reward system, which plays a significant role in cravings and emotional eating. When dopamine levels are unbalanced, it can trigger overeating. By managing brain health and addressing these neurological triggers, you can take control of your cravings and maintain long-term weight loss.

 

 


As a Board Certified Functional Health Coach (FNL Full Body Systems) and a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I blend my extensive education—including a BA in Organic Chemistry, an MA from Middlebury College, a teaching credential, and certifications in Ayurvedic Counseling and Holistic Nutrition—into my work. Through my Nine Arms of Wellness program, I teach the value of using food as medicine, practical lifestyle management techniques, and an interactive, integrative approach drawn from over 100 dietary theories, including Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, gluten-free, Paleo, raw, vegan, and macrobiotics.

My training equips me with cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention, all of which I use to guide you toward vibrant, lasting health.
